Today was exciting! We had a guest poet come in today and she was interesting. Her methods were different and interestingly appealing. I was set in a group with four people. Yuxi was one of them. The poet. Dr. Mary E. Weems, had us do a project called G. I. G. O. Get it in get it out.
It was very interesting. I'll post my random words on my writers blog. She liked my words, and thought she heard a poem in them. I was happy and even happier when she told us to write in pairs about some hats. Yuxi and I decided to work together! We began a story, her writing the male view i writing the female, and are still working to get it done. We'll be finishing soon though so no worries, you can all read it soon!
After that activity we had to write about someone we knew that had died. I wrote about a friend of mine that had just died in April. Everyone, i wouldn't say liked it, but were interested by it. We ended the day writing a image paragraph. She had loud music, some of it was good the rest was annoying.
We played golf after lunch. Since i had played before i found it pretty easy. After that it was off to art. I didn't feel well for a while, sitting in the window in the bathroom for a few minutes. But after getting some cool air, i headed toward Art. I finished my carving and printed a good copy. After that I started carving out a new piece for a shadow image. While i was doing that we started debating things. The topics moved from Religion to Gender, all the way to art [weird, talking about art in art class... who'da thunk it!]
Toward the end of class, when everyone else left, Frankie, a very interesting girl, started drawing a nude drawing of a young woman. She wanted a little help with making it more realistic so i helped her out. I gave her some details to add or take away. It ended up working out very well. I liked it and it seemed very beautiful! I was happy to help.
All in all my day ended very well.
This has been Angela N. Tharp. Until the next post!
